For the past eight years, you've seen her take a powerful public stand in support of people at risk around the world, and witnessed global recognition of her work for human rights. From Guantanamo Bay to the detention of Aung San Suu Kyi to the Iranian election uprising, Irene Khan has led and inspired the Amnesty International movement through the toughest issues of the new milennium.

Now, nearing the end of her tenure as Secretary General of Amnesty International, Irene is travelling to Australia to introduce us to 'The Unheard Truth', her engaging new book on poverty and human rights. We're inviting you to join Irene at the Art Gallery of NSW on Monday, 16 November and take advantage of this unique opportunity to speak with one of the world's living symbols of justice and freedom.

Date: Monday 16 November
Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Venue: Art Gallery of NSW, Domain Theatre, Level 3, Art Gallery Rd, The Domain, Sydney
